Kalrend

Kalrend is a member of the Alandran high council. He has held his post for forty-five years, and represents the eastern mountains.

He categorically resists all efforts at peace with the Vincetii, and is convinced that any attempt would weaken Alandra. Such an attitude is common among the mountain dwellers. Some consider this odd, as the region has seen very little in the way of direct battles. The local populace seems to hold the idea that if the status quo (war, held mainly on the coasts and plains) is held, then their relative security will be maintained. This attitude has been reinforced under King Enuld, as he has pushed the war into mostly an offensive on Vincetti territory.
